Turning the Tide on Poverty in Watson Chapel, AR: Community Event: "National Night Out. Sponsored by the Pine Bluff Police Department Free family entertainment. Tues. 6-9 p.m. Tuesday August 2, 2011."
Salem Missionary Baptist Church is moving further down Sulphur Springs Rd. The old building they moved out from would make a great community center. It is across Sulphur Springs Rd. from Watson Chapel High School.
Yesterday I spoke with Glen Jackson the Administrator of Second C.H.A.N.G.E. Recovery Center. (This is where I attend AA meetings.) He has agreed to attend August 12th, 2011 meeting at the Reynolds Center in the Red Cross Room. I need to get back with him though I think I gave him the wrong date. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
Holly Sutton has agreed to attend the August 12th meeting. Holly is an Administrative Assistant at UAPB.
Last night we (Holly and I) went to National Night Out in Pine Bluff. We met the Chief of Police and the Mayor. Pine Bluff Police Department held this event. Overall this was a great success, residents attended from all over the Pine Bluff area.

Tonight I met at Edgewood School Caferteria with the Neighbor Watch meeting, concerns are different all over, some are concerned about elders medications, single parents, GED, teenage pregnancy, alcohol and drugs, transportation, recreation, and crime. Moral support or emotional support are big issues. Peer pressure in the schools.
